How did you get into ministry?

Never remember a time when my family (6 brothers and sisters) wasn’t doing something that looked like ministry. I love it!!

Ogema, Wisconsin (don’t blink or you’ll end up in someone’s cow pasture)

Cyndi is my wife (married in 1975)
Daughter Rondi is a surgeon at Vanderbilt and her husband Adam is Captain in US Army at Ft. Campbell.
Daughter, Keri is psychologist and her husband, Gus is HR director at Olive Crest in Seattle.
Son, Jon is completing his nursing degree in Tacoma, WA, and his wife Kara is an interior design specialist.
Daughter, Mari is psychologist working at Olive Crest in Santa Ana.

No matter what the past looks like, God is smiling and wants to take the next step in life with you.

What is your favorite word and why?

Oi Vai (Old Jewish expression) that my Swedish grandparents changed to Uff-Dah. I like it because it fits so many situations—interchangeable for good things and for bad things. (And yes, most of the time you don’t have to explain anything more—one Uff-Dah covers most everything).
