My favorite part of being the missions pastor at SeaCoast Grace is being able to watch people's faith come alive as they put it into action. Sometimes, we can become so focused on building our faith to protect ourselves from the world, that we forget something extremely important. Our faith grows when we put it into action, engage with others outside our comfort zone and let God work through us. It's amazing what God can do when we're willing to go along for the ride!
Ultimately, God opened a door. Although I had served as a lay leader and a youth leader in the past, I did not plan to get involved in full-time ministry at this stage in my life. That said, God had different plans for me and SeaCoast Grace is a different kind of church. In 2007, my family and I moved back to California after living and working overseas for the previous decade. After much prayer and a series of (God-inspired) "coincidences," the door opened for me to serve Him at SeaCoast Grace. The position of missions pastor is a perfect fit at the perfect time.

I have been married to my beautiful wife Michelle for eight years. Together we have three kids, Noah (5), Madison (3) and Mason (not yet 1). We also have a black lab, Chiquita, a beta fish we call … “the Fish” and a tortoise named Flash. Yes, we’re busy.
We're loved just as we are. It's simple and amazing and in total contrast to how the world usually works.
Sophrosyne. I first heard this word in high school and it has stuck with me ever since. It kind of rolls off the tongue, real smooth-like. I love the meaning, which I understand to be: "balance in life through knowing oneself and avoiding excess."
