Each one of us is blessed with unique talents, skills and experiences. Most people go through life focused on how they can use those gifts to benefit themselves – to get a better job, acquire wealth or gain respect. Some people recognize that these gifts were meant for a larger audience. God takes this willingness to give back and uses it to change us into the people He wants us to become. Far from being an obligation, Giving Back to God is an opportunity to grow and to experience more profound joy in our own lives.
Preach the Gospel, if necessary, use words. - Francis of Assisi
When Christians put their faith into action, amazing things happen. Those who are far from God are able to witness His love. Curiosity piques. Questions are asked. “Why are you doing this? What do you get in return? Our example opens doors through which our words can enter. In time, we gain the opportunity to share the Gospel. By doing so, a seed is sown or harvested and lives are changed. With faithfulness and prayer, communities are strengthened and hope is restored.
Our goal is to bring about the change – both personal and societal – that happens when we obediently serve and share the good news.
What could we collectively accomplish if we all gave just one hour per week? How could we impact the world around us? How might we be changed through serving?

As part of our worship to Him, God calls on us to give regularly, generously and sacrificially as an expression of gratitude for all He has given us. He asks that we give back as a reminder of his goodness and abundant love.
Just as the body is dead without a spirit, so also faith is dead without good deeds. - James 2: 26
