El Sal Trip Photo
El Salvador is home to over 6.7 million people. In the rural areas, where our teams are ministering, over half of the people live below the poverty line, and less than 40% have access to clean drinking water. Safe drinking water and cook stoves could reduce the infant mortality rate by 60%.

These conditions – while tragic – should be seen as opportunities. Through our Latin American partner organization, ENLACE, we have the ability to support local churches as they tackle these issues and try to improve the quality  of life in their communities. At the same time, these churches are gaining opportunities to share the hope of salvation and transformation through Jesus Christ with their countrymen and women.

El Sal Trip PhotoThose who have made the trip describe it as a life-changing experience. The relationships established with the church in San Jose El Naranjo and the people from the communities are the kinds of bods we strive for as Christians. The joy of those who received new houses is something the team will never forget. With all of the new opportunities we’re discovering in El Salvador, the exact format and date of our next short-term project team to the area are still being determined. Check back later to get the trip itinerary and find out how you can be involved! We’ll also be adding updates throughout the year about new project opportunities in the country.
